A Last on Hallowed Ground

August 4, 2016

This weekend see's the Downs Rugby minnows St George travel to the hallowed turf of Riddles Oval Goondiwindi. Despite the Frillnecks position on the ladder, the Emus will not be taking them lightly as history shows that these matches have always been tough encounters. To add to that, the 2nd placed Emus will be missing 7 of their best due to representative obligations with Downs in Toowoomba.

With that comes the exciting prospect of seeing some of the up and coming emus earn their stripes as A Graders.

This hit out promises to be a real arm wrestle, as the Frillies look to put a positive stamp on the end of their season, while the Emus are keen to build solidity coming into the finals.

Toowoomba Anglican College and Preparatory School (Prep) will also be hosting a Goondiwindi Reunion before the commencement of play at 2pm. Prep invites past students and families to Riddles for an afternoon of complimentary drinks and gourmet finger food while reminiscing our school days.

Make sure all Emu fans are at Riddles to cheer on our Boys.

Kick-off is at 3pm Saturday 6th August.
